Belmadar was engaged in constructing a state-of-the-art early learning centre as part of the adaptive reuse of a prominent former Master's Warehouse in Rouse Hill. The centre accommodates 115 children aged six weeks to six years and features a dedicated 730 square metre outdoor play area. The building includes several rooms for various age groups, a reception and lobby area, a commercial kitchen, amenities and staff facilities, with custom-built furniture and large windows ensuring a contemporary and light-filled interior. In addition, the exterior was extensively landscaped, and a custom curved climbing wall was installed along with large overhead sails and a Pin Oak tree to provide sun protection. Given its unique adaptive reuse nature, this project required working within the space constraints of the former Master's warehouse shell and its existing services structure. Therefore, a new structural shell had to be built within the existing warehouse, and the former garden nursery area was levelled with a fresh topping slab. With several retail tenants also taking up new occupancies in the same warehouse, extensive coordination was required with other builders and stakeholders to ensure the project's smooth progress and meet the tight 22-week time frame.
